Heather King
University of Redlands
Dr. Heather King is an English Professor at the University of Redlands. Dr. King also serves as and Faculty Advisor for Sigma Tau Delta, an English Honor Society. Dr. King specializes in eighteenth-century literature, women's literature, the study of Shakespeare. Dr. King received her B.A. in English Literature and Classical Civilization from Boston University, and both her M.A. and Ph.D. in eighteenth-century British literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. King's research has been published in academic journals such as the International Journal of Pluralism and Economics. Dr. King has also published a chapter in the book Capitalism and Commerce in Imaginative Literature. Dr. King is currently working on research focused on eighteenth-century fiction by women, specifically moments of moral reflection, in which mirrors become tools of seeing the state of one’s character, and Smithian economics in the works of Jane Austen. Before her time with the University of Redlands, Dr. King served as a lecturer at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
