Joy Buchanan

Joy Buchanan is an associate professor of quantitative analysis and economics in the Brock School of Business at Samford University. She teaches data analytics and economics courses. Buchanan is using economic experiments to understand how employers and workers respond to recessions. Her work has been supported by the National Science Foundation and other organizations. Buchanan's work has been published in scholarly publications such as the European Journal of Political Economy, the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, and the Southern Economic Journal. Buchanan holds a B.A. in Economics and Screenwriting and M.S. in Economic System Design from Chapman University, and a Ph.D. in Economics from George Mason University.
