Maryann Corbett
Dr. Maryann Corbett is a poet, medievalist, and linguist. Dr. Corbett earned a B.A. in English from the College of William and Mary and an M.A. and Ph.D. in English from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Corbett is the author of five books of poetry and two chapbooks, along with many poems, essays, and translations which have appeared in publications such as The Poetry Foundation, The Writer's Almanac, The Able Muse Anthology, and many more. Dr. Corbett is also the winner of the Richard Wilbur Award, and the co-winner of the Willis Barnstone Translation Award. Dr. Corbett is also a finalist for many awards such as the Able Muse Book Prize, and the Morton Marr Prize. One of her poems is included in The Best American Poetry 2018. Dr. Corbett also reviews for several magazines, including Contemporary Poetry Review,The Raintown Review, Eclectica, The Arts Fuse, and Literary Matters.
